The Beauty of Art

This sculpture has canopied the sidewalk that goes from the Hemmens Cultural Center Courtyard leading to the Unites States Post Office on Grove Court.  It has been there for several years.  It is quite unusual.  Its name escapes me.  I used to be on a plaque at the base, but that is long since gone, probably a victim of theft in order to be sold as scrap.
I've heard many comments by many people about what they thought it was, or whether is was a human subject or not. I have always seen it as a person in a rather "compromising" position (which is not too flattering to what my state of mind is).  Whatever he or she is doing, it does evoke a certain level of joyfulness that I appreciate every time I see it.
